Development
In the month of April 2011, producer Kevin Feige made it clear that after the release of The Avengers (2012), Thor will be seen in a new adventure. This was a hint that after Avengers, Thor will be presented before the audience.
“In both cases, it’s using the concept of a fantastical, alien world to make fresh what is really a domestic drama. In Game of Thrones, seeing Tyrion battle with his sister Cersei, seeing the relationships between children and their fathers…
It’s all the stuff we’re interested in at a psychological level because we’re living it all the time. But it takes place in this otherwise fantastical, foreign realm. I think the same thing is true in Thor.
The brilliant thing Ken Branagh did in launching it was making it very much a story about two brothers, a story about brothers competing for the love of their father. So it’s small, confined, and human at the same time it’s this blown-out, intergalactic world.” said Alan Taylor, Director of Thor.

It may not be the finest film to come from the Marvel Universe, but Thor: The Dark World still offers plenty of the humor and high-stakes action that fans have come to expect.
the website’s consensus
The secret of Ant-Man and the Wasp is that it works best when it doesn’t try so hard when it lets charm trump excess and proves that less can be more even in the Marvel universe.
Peter Travers from Rolling Stone
This robust, impersonal visual-effects showpiece proves buoyant and unpretentious enough to offset its stew of otherwise derivative fantasy/action elements.
Justin Chang from Variety
Loki is the only character who makes himself new and interesting. When he is around, Thor: The Dark World becomes a different film altogether. You wish there was more of him. The rest of it is metal clanking.
Shubhra Gupta (The Indian Express
This feels like a really, really, expensive episode of Doctor Who. In a good way.
Larushka Ivan-Zadeh (metro.co.uk)
It’s also a film more grounded in emotion even amidst a serious amping up of the action that one might expect and hope for from a superhero film.
