Spider-Man: No Way Home is an American superhero film based on the Marvel comic character of the same name. It is directed by Jon Watts and produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Plot

This movie is set at a time when the real identity of Peter-Parker is revealed in front of the whole world. To fix this issue and make everyone forget about he is the real Spider-Man, Peter decided to take help from Doctor Stange. However, nothing turned out as planned when the efforts they made does not end up in the desired result.

Marketing

In the month of May 2020. Sony decided to have a deal with Hyundai Motor Group in which they made a deal that Hyundai will promote their new model and technologies in the upcoming Spider-Man film. Later in the year, Hyundai released a commercial with the title”Only Way Home”. That commercial was directed by Jon Watts and it was developed to promote the movie.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Released

The world premiere of the movie was organized on December 13, 2021, at Fox Village Theatre in In Los Angeles. The movie was released on December 15 in the United Kingdom. In the United States, it was released on December 17, in 4,325 theatres. Initially, the movie was decided to release on  July 16, 2021, but then because of some reasons, it was rescheduled for November.

Development

At the time of the development of Spider-Man: Homecoming, the makers planned two more sequels in the same series. In the month of June 2017, Tom Holland revealed that each of these films will take place in a different year of High School. The third film in this series will be set in during the character’s senior year. In the month of July 2019, Kevin Feige revealed that the upcoming Spider-Man will be set at a time when the world is all aware of the identity of Spider-Man.

Box Office Collection

Spider-Man: No Way Home was developed with a budget of $200 million. Talking about its box office collection, the movie earned a whopping amount of $1.892 million worldwide. From Canada and the United States, it generated somewhere around $804.3 million and $1.088 million from other remaining countries.

Filming

From October 14 to 16, 2020, the second unit shooting started in New York City. The working title of the film was Serenity Now. The filming of the film took place in Astoria, Sunnyside, and also in Long Island neighborhoods in Queens. On October 23, filming started in Greenwich Village in Manhattan.

On October 25, the makers decided to move the production to Atlanta and at that time Zendaya joined as the principal photographer of the film.

Critical Response to Spider-Man: No Way Home

On IMDB,  the movie is rated 7.9 out of 10. On Rotten Tomatoes, it is rated 93% fresh. “A bigger, bolder Spider-Man sequel, No Way Home expands the franchise’s scope and stakes without losing sight of its humor and heart.”

“Holland, Zendaya, and Batalon are a priceless trio, and the various villains and ‘others’ who pop in and out make this pure movie fun of the highest order. Fans will be in heaven,” said Pete Hammond from Deadline Hollywood.

Post-Production

In the month of April 2021, Molina revealed that his role is also there in the upcoming Marvel movie and also revealed that he was told to not talk much about his role in the film. Later in the same month, J. B. Smoove said that he is returning as Julius Dell from Far From Home.

 Music

In the month of November 2020, Michael Giacchino was confirmed to be returning for No Way Home. Previously, he has also worked as a composer for  Homecoming and Far From Home. He did a pretty good job in both the previous film and that was the main reason why the makers chose him for this movie also.
