website’s critical consensus

At the end of the day it’s Robert Downey Jr. who powers the lift-off separating this from most other superhero movies.

Roger Ebert from Chicago Sun-Times

An unusually good superhero picture. Or at least – since it certainly has its problems – a superhero movie that’s good in unusual ways.

A. O. Scott from The New York Time

Iron Man Film Post Production

From the initial stage of the film, Jan Favreau was a little worried that the transition between the computer-made and practical costumes would be obvious to the audience. He wanted to be sure that the movie does not have anything that could go against it and for that, he hires Industrial Light and Magic and asked for the visual effects for the film just like the way they did for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.

Iron Man Film Music

The music of the film was composed by Ramin Djawadi. Talking about Iron Man, Ramin said that he is a big fan of Iran Man for a very long time. He always liked superheroes who do not have any superpowers. This time John Debney was not able to get to work on this movie.

The team this time wanted heavy metal music and guitars and they were quite sure about it as they know that Tony Stark looks more like a rockstar than a superhero.

Iron Man Movie 2019 Review

Still, if the film is ultimately disappointing it is in part because it begins so well, and there is a lot to enjoy before the over-the-top final act.

Karl French (Financial Times)

I like Downey Jr, usually, with his dark wounded eyes, but here his performance veers between going through the motions and a look that seems to say, “Hey, what film am I doing again?”

Deborah Ross (The Spectator)

There’s a satisfyingly climactic CGI battle, but Downey Jr tops it in the witty denouement with pure acting skill.

Nick Curtis (London Evening Standard)

Iron Man Do You Know

In the article below, we are giving you some of the hidden facts about Iron Man you have no idea of:

  • The script of the movie was not ready when filming started.
  • Rhodey set Midi’s version of the theme music of the Iran Man Cartoon, especially for the calls from Tony Stark.
  • It took somewhere around 450 separate pieces to make the Iron Man suit.
  • The montage for Tony’s life story was produced by Kyle Cooper and it includes real photos from Robert Downey’s childhood.
  • In the movie, Tony’s computer was named JARVIS  (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System). This name was given to pay tribute to Edwin Jarvis, Howard Stark’s butler.
  • To fit in his role perfectly, Robert took martial arts classes and devoted five days a week to weight training.
  • Jon Favreau decided to shoot this movie in California because according to him there are too many superhero films that were shot in New York.
