Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Film is an American superhero film based on a superhero team from the Marvel Comics. It is directed and written by James Gunn and produced by Kevin Feige.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 Plot
In volume 2 of the Guardians of the Galaxy, the team members are seen struggling to keep their team and its unity alive. They are also seen facing some family issues. The movie is set after they saved Xander from Ronan. After this event, they got a lot of recognition and fame.
Marketing
In June 2016, Marvel expressed their interest in making an expanded version of Guardians of the Galaxy. They said they might be relating volume 2 of the movie very soon and also disclosed that this time Groot will play the main role. Gunn said that the female characters will be represented more in volume 2.
Released
The world premiere of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 was organized on April 10, 2017, in Tokyo, Japan. The Hollywood premiere was scheduled for April 19 at Dolby Theatre. The international release of the movie was started on April 25, in Australia, New Zealand, and Italy. In the first weekend, the movie was released in more than 35 markets with more than 175 IMAX screens.
In North America, the film was released on May 5, 2017, in more than 4,345 theatres, in which 3, 800 were 3D and 388 were IMAX.
Development
The Chief Executive Officer of Disney said that Guardians of the Galaxy part one has “strong franchise potential”. He added that the makers of the Guardians of the Galaxy wanted to create another Avengers. James Gunn, the director of the film expressed his interest by saying that he would love to direct the sequel of the movie.
“There are general ideas for what the sequel is and where it goes and who’s involved and what happens and what we find out about our characters. So it’s very general and that could change … but I know a lot about who these characters are and where they came from and where they’re going. I’m excited by the possibility of creating a sequel because we had to do a lot of setup in [the first] movie and with a sequel, we don’t have to do that setup which will make it so much easier for me,” said James Gunn.

The pre-shooting of the movie treated from the month of February 2016. The location was Pinewood Atlant Studios, Georgia. The working title of the project was Level Up. Henry Braham was working as the cinematographer of the film. The cinematographer and the production designer from the previous film were working with Doctor Strange and due to a clash in their schedule, they were not able to work on this film.
Critical Response
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has been rated 7.3 out of 10 on IMDB. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is rated 85% fresh. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’s action-packed plot, dazzling visuals, and irreverent humor add up to a sequel that’s almost as fun—if not quite as thrillingly fresh—like its predecessor,” said the website’s consensus.
Owen Gleiberman from Variety referred to the movie as “an extravagant and witty follow-up, made with the same friendly virtuosic dazzle… and just obligatory enough to be too much of a good thing.”
Post-production of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Film
In 2019, at San Diego Comic-Con International, Russell and Debicki said that they are playing Ego and Ayesha in volume 2 of the Guardians of the Galaxy. At the same event, it was also announced that Sylvester Stallone will be seen in the movie and she will be playing the character of Stakar Ogord.
Talking about Ego, Quill’s father, James Gunn said that, “people were going to figure it out eventually, it was better that we took the reins in our own hands”.

The score of film was scored by Tyler Bates. Tyler gas also worked with Gunn in the first part of the movie. The music album of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Film was termed Awesome Mix Volume 2. this full album was released on April 21, 2017.
