Black Widow Film is an American superhero movie based on the Marvel Comic character of the same name. Black Widow was directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige.

Black Widow Film Plot
In this movie, Natasha Romanoff got to know a dark secret about her past life which was not that easy for her to digest. She then decided to deal with her history, in the best possible way. On this journey, Natasha is seen pursued by a force that is trying to bring her down. In order to get out form this drama, she must find a way by which she can deal with her history as a spy.
Black Widow Film Marketing
In 2019, at San Diego Comic-Con International, the film was announced, and also in the event, the cast along with Kevin Feige was seen promoting the movie by showing some of the clips from the movie. Some part of this footage was also other in the official teaser of the film.
In the month of March 2020, the official trailer of the movie was released by Marvel Studios. This trailer was supposed to be the final trailer but they then decided to release one more trailer. In the month of September 2020, Bardie come up with two dolls featuring Black Widow. The dolls have one black and one white outfit that was worn by Natasha in the movie Black Widow.
The second trailer was released in April 2021 that contains the release date of the film. Talking about the trailer, Austin Goslin said that it only had a few new scenes in the best look.
Lionsgate purchased the filming rights of the film back in the month of February 2004. David Hayter was announced as the writer-director of the film in April, of the same year. At that time, it was decided that Avi arad will produce the film. However, because of some unavoidable reason, Lionsgate dropped the idea of making Balck Widow and returned the rights to Marvel Studios in the month of June 2006.
“What I tried to do was use the backdrop of the splintered Soviet Empire—a lawless insane asylum with 400-some odd nuclear missile silos. It was all about loose nukes, and I felt it was very timely and very cool. Unfortunately, as I was coming up on the final draft, a number of female vigilante movies came out. We had Tomb Raider and Kill Bill, which were the ones that worked, but then we had BloodRayne and Ultraviolet and Æon Flux. Æon Flux didn’t open well, and three days after it opened, the studio said, ‘We don’t think it’s time to do this movie,” said David Hayter when asked about why Lionsgate dropped his script and idea of making Black Widow.

Black Widow was produced with a budget of $200 million. Talking about its Box office collection, the film generated $379.6 million worldwide. In the United States and Canada, it managed to earn $183.7 million and $196 million from other countries.
Black Widow Filming
On May 29, 2019, the principal photography of the film started in Norway. Director Cate Shortland wanted the fights scenes in the movie should look like real fight scenes. Initially, it was decided that Rob Hardy would work as a cinematographer for the movie, but he left the project, and later Gabriel Bernstein worked in his place.
In the beginning, Gabriel’s name was not credited in the film trailer. This fact was first pointed out by Jeff Snieder from Collider. He felt like Gabriel must be included in the marketing material of the Balck widow.
Critical Response to Black Widow Film
On IMDB, the movie is rated 6.9 out of 10. On Rotten Tomatoes, it is rated 79% fresh. “Black Widow’s deeper themes are drowned out in all the action, but it remains a solidly entertaining standalone adventure that’s rounded out by a stellar supporting cast,” said the website’s consensus.
Joshua Rivera from Polygon said, “Black Widow has a focus that’s refreshing to the MCU, allowing it a sense of style and fun that’s genuinely enjoyable once you get over the strangeness of the film’s continuity in the MCU”.
Post-production of Black Widow Film
The editing of the movie was done by Matthew Schmidt and Leigh Folsom Boyd. In the month of March, Disney removes Balck Widow from the schedule keeping in mind the Covid-19 pandemic. In April, Disney revealed that Balck Widwo will be released on November 6, 2020.
In the month of January 2020, Alexandre Desplat revealed that he is going to compose the score for Black Widow. However, at the time of postproduction, Lorne Balke took the place of Alexandre and composed the score.
